1) Lacks MWD and therefore is a comedy killmail waiting to happen.
2) Fits BCUs instead of tank. A HIC even with full "gank" setup will not do very much dps, and it will die horribly when it is inevitably called primary. Fit a proper tank instead.
3) Active tanking is worthless in PvP. Fit a proper passive buffer tank instead.
Here is a much better Onyx setup:

1) Dude, the onyx is slow. The guy who said that it's for bubbling gates and holding down caps is absolutely right. There are ships that fill the role of mwding up close and holding down a ship, the caldari hic isn't one of them.
2) debatable...
3) active tanking is worthless in pvp? for serious? Maybe true in blob warfare, but that far from encompasses the entirety of pvp.
Set up an onyx with a cap booster driven active tank; you get a freaking hard to kill ship that can stay hard to kill for a long time. with a buffer tank once you are called primary you will go down. The difference between a good buffer tank and a great buffer tank is measured in seconds... Which is fine for a nanoed gank fit or a close range knife fighting fit, or your average fleet fit. An onyx needs to be able to tank a lot of damage for a long period of time, which your setup simply can't do. - Always be Happy, Never be satisfied. |
